Chauhan said it took the police about eight hours to trace his location. “The flat was locked from outside, but a fan was on inside when we traced the flat. We secretly keep watch on the flat. When a man came and opened the flat, we overpowered him and rescued the boy,” Chauhan told HT.
One of the accused was identified as Dinesh Gupta, who works as accountant at a private builders group in Bhopal. “Gupta hails from Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh. We are trying to nab another accused,” said Chauhan. Sources said that another accused was a builder.
The victim is reported to have told the police that Gupta along with his accomplice had kidnapped him from outside a hotel in Indore on September 30 and brought him to Bhopal.
“The accused had covered the face of boy. They also forced fed him some drugs which made the boy unconscious. Both of them sodomised the boy regularly,” said a crime branch officer.
Crime branch officials said boy’s family had been informed and Indore police were being also contacted to ascertain whether any missing complaint had been registered in the matter.
