The city police have registered a case against three students of Sanskar Valley School for allegedly beating up a junior. The victim--Parth Chaturvedi, a student of Class 9, had received multiple injuries when he was beaten on the school premises on Wednesday.

Parth, 14, was admitted to Narmada hospital with a fractured nose. His ribs were also injured. Initially, the police said that they were investigating the matter, however, on late Thursday night, the case was registered.

Ratibad police station in-charge VS Baghel confirmed that a case has been registered. "The boys named in the FIR are also minors," he said. Police said that the three Class 11 students have been charged with injuring the boy, illegally restraining him and causing him grievous injuries.

Talking to HT, Parth's father Rajesh Chaturvedi said that his son's nose has been operated upon and he has now been advised bed rest for at least a week. Chaturvedi said that his son was harassed by the same group of seniors earlier as well.

Parth was likely to be discharged on Friday evening. The senior students are all teenagers and if they are minors they would be produced before the juvenile board. The Ratibad police are conducting investigations in this regard. (As the students named in the FIR are believed to be minors, their names have been withheld)
