Two persons run over by trains in separate incidents in Bhopal

Two persons were run over by speeding trains in two separate accidents in Bhopal on Saturday. The police have registered a case in both incidents and started investigation.

Two persons were run over by speeding trains in two separate accidents in the city on Saturday. The police have registered a case in both incidents and started investigation.

The first accident occurred at Ishwar Nagar, under Bagh Sewania police station, on Saturday evening. The deceased was identified as Hari Ahirwar (45), a resident of Ishwar Nagar. He worked as labourer at a private construction site.

According to information, Ahirwar was heading towards home from the work place at the time of the mishap. However, he was hit by a speeding train while crossing a railway track. The passerby saw his body and informed the police.

The second accident reported in Durga Nagar under Habibganj police station area. Naval Singh (65), a resident of Ishwar Nagar, was going towards home, reportedly under influence of liquor. He could not see the train coming while crossing the tracks and was hit.

The local residents spotted his body and subsequently police were informed. On receiving information, a team from Habibganj police station rushed the spot and registered a case after preliminary investigation.
