Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed all state government departments to use the funds received from the Centre to appropriately fulfill the “Make in Madhya Pradesh” vision.
Addressing government officials in the context of the use of revenue share under the Union budget on Tuesday, the chief minister said the shares of state has been increased to 42% from 32% and this would ensure `39,000 crore as untied funds for the state.
The state departments should pay special attention to schemes that would be beneficial for Madhya Pradesh and its citizen and phase out the non-useful ones, the chief minister said.
New schemes of the Union government should be studied for their effective implementation in state.
The chief minister asked the departments to finalise their plans within a week.
Chouhan said the Union government would foster fast economic progress, new employment opportunities.
Chief secretary Anthony de Sa was present along with principal secretaries and heads of different state departments. Additional chief secretary of finance department Ajay Nath gave details about the Union budget provisions.
