Youth stabbed to death in Bhopal, accused absconding

A 25-year-old youth was stabbed to death in Shiv Shakti Nagar under Chhola Mandir police station on Sunday.

The deceased Radheshayma alias Radhe, a resident of Shiv Shakti Nagar, was attacked by three youths with sharp-edged weapons. He later succumbed to injuries during treatment at Hamidia Hospital.

The accused have been identified as Pankaj, Rajveer and Dhiraj alias Chhinga. According to police Radhe had an enmity with Pankaj.

A few days ago, Radhe’s younger brother Balli went to Pankaj’s house and demanded donation for Durga Utasav, however, Pankaj refused to give the money. This led to a heated argument between them.

On Sunday morning, when Radhe was walking in his locality, Pankaj along with his two friends attacked him with sharp-edged weapons and fled away. Radhe, who suffered serious wounds, was rushed to Hamidia hospital by emergency service-108 where he died. Doctors said he died due to excessive bleeding.

Police have registered a case and started the investigation. However, the accused are still at large. Police said that both accused and deceased had criminal records.

"We have launched a massive hunt to nab the accused. Our teams are carrying out raids at every possible hideouts of the accused," said town inspector (TI), Chhola Mandir, Mohan Sarwan.
