After the unprecedented success of Raju Hirani’s 3 Idiots, the writer-director is, once again, set to work with the trio — Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and R Madhavan — in his forthcoming film. Writer Abhijat Joshi, who had co-written the 2009 comedy, reveals, “I was writing Peekay with Raju. Aamir is acting in it. We’ve completed the script and will sit for narrations soon.”

Aamir, who will start work on Yash Raj Films’ Dhoom 3 in May, admits that they will begin shooting Peekay this year. He says, “The film is going on the floors in October.” Strangely, while his colleagues on the project seem ready to start filming, the director himself insists there is still some work to be done. Raju says, “The script is not complete yet. We are working on the final draft.”

Press him to reveal details or the genre of his eagerly anticipated films, and Raju says cryptically, “This is my kind of film. Of course, it has some social message.”

Abhijat also assisted the director when he was scripting producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s next, Ferrari Ki Sawaari, to be helmed by Rajesh Mapuskar. “I didn’t write Ferrari Ki Sawaari, but I was helping Raju with it.”
