The trailer of the film Fukrey was launched recently. And what’s interesting is that the youth-centric film is set in Delhi, and has Delhi boys playing the lead. The film is based on the situation when a gamble goes wrong. The film is essentially about these four fukras (useless/jobless) friends who aspire to enter college and day dream about how it would be.
The team of young actors are all from North India and hence understand the nuances of playing Delhiites. There is Pulkit Samrat (Honey) from Delhi, Varun Sharma (Choocha) from Jalander, Manjot Singh (Lali) from Delhi even Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the director of the film is from Delhi. The only exception is Ali Fazal who is from Mumbai. Fukrey has been shot extensively in East Delhi — which is untapped and unconventional territory for Bollywood.
