Dam 999

Synopsis: Based on the award winning short documentary DAMs - The Lethal Water Bombs and the Banqiao dam disaster of 1975 that claimed the lives of 2,50,000 people in China and anticipated calamity for Mullaperiyar Dam in Kerala, the story revolves around the central edifice in this movie, a 100-year-old dam built by the British during their colonial days in India. Like a dam, each character holds back his/her emotions. Eventually the dam breaks, including that of the film’s characters, drawing the audience to a gripping climax. The number 999 has great importance in British Colonial Indian history. The story reveals the concealed truth of India’s age-old myths and science.

Desi Boyz

Synopsis: Jerry “Rocco” Patel (Akshay Kumar) and Nick “Hunter” Mathur (John Abraham) originally came to the United Kingdom to study as overseas students at Oxford University. Some years later, life is good in their comfortable London pad. Nick’s got a lucrative investment banking job and a beautiful fiancée, Radhika (Deepika Padukone). Jerry happily sponges off his wealthy pal while bringing up his nephew Veer (Shraman Jain) and romancing his former teacher Tanya (Chitrangda Singh). But then the recession starts to bite, Nick finds himself abruptly downsized, and social services threaten to place Veer in a foster home. When they see no hope left, they open a door to the most popular strip-club in town, Desi Boyz, whose owner (Sanjay Dutt) picks them as pole-dancers. But under their new alter egos Rocco and Hunter, the two friends now become bitter rivals.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — part 1

This part of the movie shows the completion of the incomplete relation of Bella and Edward, with their incredible love followed by their wedding. The movie is spiced up with some honeymoon scenes. It also captures moments of Bella giving birth to their baby. The movie released here yesterday.

Jack & Jill

Jill’s neediness and passive-aggressiveness is maddening to Jack, turning his normally tranquil life upside down with her innocent and goofy habits. Katie Holmes plays Erin, Jack’s wife, who always tries to persuade him to not lose his temper on his sister before he comes to terms with her.
