Pyaar Ka Punchnama

Synopsis: Rajat, Chaudhary and Liquid are three buddies stuck in their boring jobs and crave for girlfriends to add some meaning to their lives. Rajat soon finds a girl — Neha, who is everything that he had ever wanted. It is all good and rosy till Rajat moves in with Neha. Till then, Neha was a part of his life, but after living together, Neha is his only life. Chaudhary meets Riya, who eventually dumps her boyfriend and the two then start going out. Liquid is very happy finding a girl called Charu at work, the first and only girl he has ever spoken to in his entire life. Charu adores him but only as a friend and tells him she has a boyfriend But Liquid thinks he has a chance even now and takes his friend’s role very seriously only to end up as her secretary, her domestic help, her waiter etc, everything but her boyfriend. Will the three lads find peace in their love lives? Watch to find out.

A room in his Medical Institution is rumoured to have some supernatural powers which he surely don’t believe. Professor Aniruddh is impressed with a new student Abhimanyu for his rationality and tenacity when he decides to dispel all rumours and moves into a room that has been forbidden for years. What follows is an intriguing story about a professor who denies the paranormal and believes only in science, and a bright young student who battles with his conflict of illusion and reality. Is what Abhimanyu sees real or is his mind playing tricks with him? Is the professor’s conviction that ‘it’s all in the mind’ enough to convince the once-rational Abhimanyu that what he sees is not real. The film tries to explore the whethere what we see is based on our illusions or reality.

Synopsis: A romance blossoming in Kolkata between law student Ramesh and his friend’s sister Hemnalini is nipped suddenly when his father sends an urgent summon from his village home. Ramesh is ordered to marry Susheela, daughter of a hapless widow. Ramesh refuses ultimately but gives in finally. The wedding takes place and Ramesh sets out with his bride on a river boat journey to Kolkata. Soon a fierce storm arises and the boat capsizes. The two then take a train to Kolkata. Back in Ramesh’s home in Kolkata, the facts of mistaken identity gradually come to light. She is Kamala not Susheela. Her husband is a doctor named Nalinaksha Chatterjee. Ramesh writes an advertisement to trace his whereabouts, but he does not have the heart to break this news to the helpless young girl. But Kamala reads the ad in the paper and decides to drown in the river. But she gets rescued by a courtesan and deposited in Kashi under Nalinaksha’s mother’s care. The whole sorry mess raises many questions of head and heart and the validity or otherwise of social conventions. One often gets left wondering whether true love will finally triumph.
