It was recently reported that director Sanjay Gupta is writing a book that will comprise 11 short stories. But he is not the only Bollywood director to turn author. Neeraj Pandey, known for his debut directorial venture, A Wednesday (2008), has also written a book based on crime and the underworld.

Neeraj, who is also the writer of the upcoming film, Total Siyappa, started writing the book in May this year. “Neeraj has always been interested in writing. He has written his directorial projects as well. But, this is the first time that he is writing a book,” says an insider.

The book is titled Ghalib Danger and interestingly, Neeraj has also made the book available online for pre-orders. “He has released the cover of the book on the web, for pre-orders and to get feedback. He plans to release it officially next month,” adds the source.

Ask Neeraj about this and he says, without divulging any details, “I will be in a position to talk about it when it is ready. It is based on crime and the underworld.”
