Delhi Belly’s producer Aamir Khan and director Abhinay Deo will unveil their film’s theatrical trailer together today. Reported to have disconnected over the perfectionist actor-producer’s ‘involvement’, the director and he will re-connect at Andheri’s Intercontinental Hotel to launch their adult comedy’s promo which will be played in cinemas alongside Ekta Kapoor’s Ragini MMS from Friday.

Rumour has it that for the premiere of Ragini MMS, producer Ekta is planning to rope in a couple of Bollywood A-listers, including Aamir. “Yes, I did invite Aamir, when he called me a couple of days ago to request that the promo be tagged with my film. He’s shooting that day, but if he wraps up early, he’s promised to be there. It’ll be a big thrill for me,” she says.

Differences between Aamir and Abhinay cropped up before the movie, featuring Imran Khan, went into post-production. Reportedly, Aamir was keen to edit the film, much to the shock of the director.

“Abhinay was zapped to hear that he wouldn’t be editing the film although he had been hired to direct and edit it,” iterates our source associated with the director.

However, speculations are that the duo eventually worked together on the post-production. Aamir wrote on his blog: “Abhinay, very ably leading a super cast and crew, has delivered pretty much what Kiran (wife Kiran Rao) and I were laughing our heads off about.”

Abhinay refused to comment on the ‘patch-up’. And Aamir directed our query to his spokesperson who reverted saying, “There have been a lot of rumours but the first look will be unveiled by the director and the producer.”
