Aamir Khan to play dad to four girls in Dangal, actors finalised

Aamir Khan, who is gearing up to play an ex-wrestler in Dangal, will also play dad to four daughters in the film. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is based on the real life story of Mahavir Singh Phogat.

Aamir Khan, who is gearing up to play an ex-wrestler in Dangal, will also play dad to four daughters in the film.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is based on the real life story of Mahavir Singh Phogat -- who is father of Indian women wrestlers Geeta and Babita Kumari Phogat.

Two young actors, Fatima Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra, were earlier finalised to play the roles of Geeta and Babita. The makers have now revealed the names of two other girls who will be playing them girls. Zaira Wasim from Kashmir and Suhani Bhatnagar from Delhi will play the younger Geeta and Babita in Dangal. Zaira and Suhani, alongwith Aamir Khan are already undergoing training for Dangal.

The scouting for casting the girls has been going on since early this year. The makers claimed to have taken hundreds of auditions for the roles.

Actors for the roles of Aamir's wife in the movie, and other two daughters are yet to be finalised. The film is set to go on the floors in September this year.
