Aamir Khan, whose upcoming film, Dhoom:3 is about to hit the screens next month, was put on medication while shooting for the song Malang. The song demanded that the actor perform steps which involved rotations, causing dizziness.
A source close to the actor reveals, “The song has been shot at a height of about 80 feet and Aamir had to whirl 60 times in a minute as part of the choreography. Since, he plays the role of a gymnast in the film, these steps were required to be part of the seqence. He will be seen performing something like this for the first time.”
The source adds that it took the team about two weeks to wrap up the shoot of the song and that Aamir was on medication throughout that period. The source says, “The medication was to keep a check on nausea. As he was at a great height and performing quick turns, it was natural for him to feel nauseated. Also, to make sure that everything was fine, the makers called a doctor to be present on the sets to help Aamir.” The budget of the song was `5 crore and has 200 dancers in the frame.
When contacted, Aamir’s spokesperson says, “Aamir was on special medication in orer to perform the steps with ease, without affecting his health.” Apart from Aamir, the song also feature the film’s female lead, Katrina Kaif.
