One of the most awaited films of the year, Talaash has been in the news for various reasons. Apart from it marking Aamir Khan’s return to the big screen after a three-year sabbatical (his last film was 3 Idiots, 2009), it also brings the actor together with Rani Mukerji (their only film as co-stars was Ghulam, 1998) and Kareena Kapoor (they garnered praise for their pairing in 3 Idiots).
This film also reunites Aamir with producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, after Dil Chahta Hai (2001).
However, the storyline of Talaash is such that the three actors — Aamir, Rani and Kareena — are never all in the same frame in the film.
That’s how Aamir came up with an idea that would bring the cast together. The actors recently shot a promotional video for the film. A source tells us, “The makers felt the need to promote the psychological-thriller with a light-hearted video. And what better way to do it than having Kareena and Rani shake a leg with Aamir?”
A spokesperson from Excel Entertainment confirms the news saying, “Yes, Aamir came up with the idea of shooting a music video with all the three stars together. It is a great idea… Aamir, Rani and Kareena dancing together in a music video is the perfect recipe for entertainment.”
