As the film approaches its release on the 26th April, the makers of the film held a press conference and introduced the songs and cast of their film in Delhi. The conference took place in none other than one of the studios at Noida from where Gulshanji started his journey to Bollywood.

Mahesh Bhatt says, "Bhushan Kumar had approached me stating that if Vishesh Films and T-Series team up under my guidance we can recreate history. With the success of the first song he delivered what he had promised. This is just the beginning".

The successor Bhushan Kumar along with the star cast Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur came to address the media on their new venture. They all were joined by Mahesh Bhatt who reminisced about his time during the making and success of Aashiqui.

With music being the biggest hero of the film, the team showcased 4 songs from the album including Tum Hi Ho which is already a huge hit , Sun Raha Hai, Chahun Main Ya Na and Hum Mar Jayenge with singer Tulsi Kumar talking about her special song in the film.

Says Tulsi Kumar, "There is an emotional connect I have with this film. Doing the playback for the film was special for me as my father started the first part. It was his dream that I become a singer. With me being a part of the sequel as a playback singer, I guess my father would be extremely happy with me"

Adds producer Bhushan Kumar, "The film is extremely special to me and I'm happy to be collaborating with Vishesh Films on it….Aashiqui 2 is a heartbreaking narrative of 'grownup' love and I'm sure it will strike a chord with the audience".
