It’s been a good year for Abhishek Bachchan. Not only did his
team win a tournament recently, but his latest release, too, has done well at the box office. Now, added to the list is an invite that the actor has received to speak at the upcoming IIM World Management Conference to be held at IIM Kochi from November 5 to 8.
The event is collectively organised by all the 13 Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) and the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, with the aim to have a number of scholars deliberate on a variety of issues that impact global management.
Abhishek will talk about how films showcase the changing aspirations of Indians on the global map. He will also discuss the changing perception of Indian cinema, how international citizens are also now consumers of Bollywood and how the Indian film industry needs to promote films that transcend global barriers.
Since he is a sports entrepreneur too, he will also speak about the future of sports in India, and his attempts to popularise kabbadi and football in the country. While Abhishek remained unavailable for a comment, his spokesperson confirmed the story.
