Filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor visited the HT House on Wednesday along with the cast of his upcoming film, Kai Po Che, including actors Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh, Raj Kumar and Amrita Puri, along with Manish Hari Prasad, creative director of Studios Disney UTV.

Director Abhishek Kapoor, who is all set with his next release, Kai Po Che, produced by UTV Motion Pictures, is now ready with a new formula to launch fresh talent. The director, who made his debut with Rock On!! (2008), is apparently looking for new talent, and he has come up with a cool idea to find it.

A source close to the director reveals, “Abhishek is starting work on his next project (he’s currently in to talks with Balaji Motion Pictures and UTV Motion Pictures) and will be putting up a page on Facebook, where people can send in applications.”

When we asked Abhishek about this, he says, “Yes, it is true. I am looking to rope in new talent in different departments, right from actors to technicians and script writers. If someone has a great idea or is a great performer and is new in the industry with no foothold, then I want to work with them as I have seen the hunger and the passion that debutants have.”

Abhishek introduced Farhan Akhtar as an actor in Rock On!! and is launching Sushant Singh Rajput in Kai Po Che. “I’m proud to have worked with these youngsters who are a powerhouse of talent, says Abhishek.

He adds, “It would be great if directors like Anurag Basu, Rajkumar Hirani and Imtiaz Ali introduce new stars in their movies. We could change the dynamics of the Indian film industry forever.”
