Ae Dil Hai Mushkil: Censor board snips off Ranbir-Aishwarya’s intimate scenes
At least three intimate scenes between Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were deleted.
Although Karan Johar’s troubles regarding the Pakistani connect (Fawad Khan and his female protagonists’ nationality) in his upcoming film are far from over, the filmmaker can breathe a sigh of relief for now. The Censor Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted Ae Dil Hai Mushkil a U/A certificate (fit for viewing by children accompanied by adults), but only after deleting at least three intimate scenes between Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, including the one shown in the trailer.
A source shares, “Karan attended the censor viewing to make sure the film wasn’t tampered with. However the censor board members — while appreciating the film’s mature theme and aesthetics — objected to some steamy moments between Aishwarya and Ranbir. Karan argued that the scenes were integral to the plot, but finally gave in to the board’s adamant demands.”
