Richa Chadda, who will make an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival this year, is having a hard time deciding what to wear to the prestigious event. This is in contrast to 2012, when she travelled to the festival with her film, Gangs Of Wasseypur.
“Three years back, no one was ready to dress Richa for the festival. She had put her look together with the help of some friends from the fashion world,” says a source close to her, adding that this time around, about 15 designers have expressed interest in sharing their outfits with her.
The actor, whose new film — directed by Neeraj Ghaywan — will be screened in the Un Certain Regard section of the festival, is likely to make nine appearances in all. The source adds, “She will leave for Cannes tonight (May 16). She is confused about what to finally wear.”
When contacted, Richa says, “The last time I went to Cannes, I had no experience of being in the limelight. Now, I am more confident and grown up. I feel fortunate that so many amazing designers have expressed interest (in dressing me). I want to showcase the best of the east in the west.”
