Ajay Devgn v/s YRF: war of biggies still on

The legal tussle between Ajay Devgn Films (ADF) and Yash Raj Films (YRF) is far from over. After the Competition Commission of India (CCI) dismissed the complaint filed by ADF alleging abuse of dominant position by the latter over the release of their films — Son of Sardaar (SoS) and Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ) respectively — the Competition Appellate Tribunal, too, in a hearing on Thursday, refused ADF’s plea.

However, ADF has been quoted by a Mumbai tabloid claiming otherwise. “The Competition Appellate Tribunal has seen merit in our case and has issued notice for inquiring into the anti- competitive activities of the YRF,” the spokesperson has been reported as saying. YRF, however, strongly denies this, in a statement.
