Actor Akshay Kumar, who is returning to action after six years with his upcoming film, Rowdy Rathore, says his 10-year-old son loves to see his tough side on screen.
The 44-year-old says that his son Aarav was the reason he took a break from risky roles, but the kid has grown up to become a martial arts enthusiast like him and loves to see his father in action films. “I started picking comedy films as my child was just one year old and I didn’t want to take much risk. But now, I can go ahead and do whatever I want to,” says Kumar, adding: “Aarav loves action himself. He does rock-climbing and deep sea diving. He is into martial arts too, but he doesn’t train under me. He has watched my comedy films but he loves the action part of me more.”
Kumar, who is taking a break from comedy after the release of Housefull 2 as he is “bored” of them, is ready to dole out a variety of films like Special Chabbis, Joker and Khiladi 786.
Housefull 2, which will release on April 5, stars 12 actors, and Kumar feels that “no one other than director Sajid Khan could have handled so many stars easily.”
