Unlike his earlier image of being known for cutting his co stars scenes, Akshay Kumar today gives credit where its due. On the sets of Patiala House, Kumar became fond of Usman Quereshi who is essaying 17-year-old Kumar in the film.
He says, “There is a lot of resemblance between Usman and me. He is very hard working and a dedicated guy and has gives in his hundred per cent.”
Although Quereshi just has a 15-minute role in the film, the youngster took the role of playing the Khiladi seriously. He spent three months with Kumar observing him. “I was just like his shadow and absorbed his body language, his mannerism. I didn’t want to make any mistakes and thus put in a lot of time studying him,” says Quereshi.
Since the desire to be a cricketer needed to be reflected form the very start through Usman, Kumar also took an active interest in giving tips to the newbie.
