Seems like actor Akshay Kumar is winning over producer Akshay.

Akshay's co-production Fugly made a dull opening on Friday, collecting a mere Rs 2.95 crore. Interestingly, Akshay Kumar-starrer Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty earned Rs 4.34 crore on Friday, a week after its release, and on the day when Fugly hit theatres.

WATCH REVIEW: HOLIDAY IS A SUMMER WATCH!

Speaking about his expectations from the film, producer Ashvini Yardi had earlier said, "Going by the recent trend, concept-driven films and those starring newcomers have done well, so we're positive. As of now, the feedback has also been satisfactory. The film is not just about friendship and youth, but it also deals with a social and political issue."

Holiday has grossed a total collection of Rs 73.03 crore in one week of its release.
