Akshay Kumar starrer Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again would release simultaneously with Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express on August 8. Wouldn’t this imply clash of the titans?
Wouldn’t this imply clash of the titans? Akshay thinks not: "I see it as a positive sign, as Eid is a big day. Two films are releasing on the same day. It is such a big day, that it would accommodate both the films. It is not a big deal and should be taken in a good spirit."
On the release of the first look of the film, director Milan Luthria said that the film was different from the prequel, which had portrayed the power dynamics in the Bombay underworld circles. "The first film was about a power struggle and this one is a romantic triangle. There are different kinds of colours in this one. The essence of the movie is fresh and a lot of stress has been laid on romance and music. So we tried something new this time."
The earlier release of Luthria, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, had released in 2010 and garnered a lot of appreciation for its representation of power struggle in the underworld.
Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha are Akshay’s costars in the film.
