Akshay Kumar filmed action sequences at 12 busy locations around the city for Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty where Mumbai's rush hour made for the backdrop.

Akshay Kumar certainly tries to keep up with the times, especially international movies, when it comes to action in his films. Now, we've been told that Akshay shot a chase-action sequence for his next, , produced by Vipul Shah and directed by A Murugadoss, in Mumbai's rush hour traffic and busy streets made for the backdrop for the sequence.

Akshay shot on Bandra's skywalk and the road below it at around 11 am on a busy Monday. "It was very challenging, but Akshay did it brilliantly," says Vipul. Seven Panavision cameras were placed above the buildings and another camera was strapped on to the back of a unit member, who walked in front of Akshay, while other action directors captured his close-ups from different angles.

Vipul also adds that this was one of the most difficult chase-action scenes that they have shot for the film. The stunts team, headed by ace Hollywood action director Greg Powell, shot the rest of the chase sequence. "We shot the scenes at 12 busy locations around the city . Dadar, Matunga and areas in south Mumbai. The crew made Akshay sit in a cab, and the moment the signal turned green, he would hop out of the cab, resume his chase scenes, perform them with style and go back into the moving cab once it was over," explained a unit member.

Powell, while praising Akshay, says, "It's great to teach him; he loves to rehearse and gets deeply involved. Before the actual shot started, Powell and his crew did a recce and shot the scenes on a handy-cam and showed them to Akshay. The film releases on June 6."
