Actor Ali Fazal has always been active on his Twitter and Facebook accounts. However, the makers of his upcoming Hollywood project have asked him to slow down on his online posts, fearing that his look in the film will get leaked.

“I think, every filmmaker has his way of working and I respect that. I am excited that people will only see the look when its ready to be shown and not while we are shooting it. As a team, we are nurturing something in a particular way. So we have said no to social media on our sets,” says Fazal, who will star with Hollywood actor Judi Dench in the film.

The actor will play the role of Abdul, in the film directed by Stephen Frears. It is based on author Shrabani Basu’s book Victoria and Abdul: The True Story of the Queen’s Closet Confidant.

The makers of the film are extremely guarded about the film.

“Everyone on the sets has been told to use social media accounts as less as possible in order to ensure that the pictures from the sets and of the costumes are not leaked on any social media platform. Ali has been rehearsing for the role much before he left for London,” says a source.
