Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor: Out of sight, not out of mind
From Alia Bhatt to Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor, several A-list actors have spaced out their releases, without losing on their fandom.bollywood Updated: Jan 24, 2015 11:20 IST
In 2014, Anushka Sharma returned to the big screen with Rajkumar Hirani’s hit directorial venture PK after a gap of almost two years (she last starred in Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola in 2013). Similarly, the upcoming film, Roy, will mark the return of Ranbir Kapoor after almost a year and a half (his last film, Besharam, released in 2013).
Now, Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan are facing a similar situation with the release of their films. While Alia’s next (directed by Vikas Bahl) will release more than a year after her last film (Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania; 2014), Kareena will come back to the screen in mid-July after almost a year. She was last seen in Singham Returns in 2014. She will star in the Salman Khan-starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Talking about such gaps, Bhushan Kumar, the producer of Roy, says, "If an actor’s film is releasing after a gap, it raises the curiosity levels and people’s eagerness to watch that actor. The examples are Aamir Khan’s films and even Roy."
Anushka feels that she can’t think like a

Katrina Kaif’s last release was Bang Bang (2014). And the actor’s next (director Kabir Khan’s film starring Saif Ali Khan) would’ve hit the screen in April. However, we’ve now been informed that the release has been pushed to August. Incidentally, this is the second film starring Katrina that’s been delayed. Even her film with Anurag Basu, which stars boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor, has been delayed multiple times.
