Actor Amitabh Bachchan who has a cameo in Baz Lurhrmann’s film The Great Gatsby, based on the book of the same name, has been featured in the film’s poster.


The actor shared the poster on social networking site Twitter, and wrote, “The poster of mine from GG...not worthy of being there, considering my miniscule role, but Baz.”

Big B’s tweet on the micro-blogging website states: “The Great Gatsby official opening film for Cannes Film festival, May 15th…come one come all…half blink and you miss role for me (sic).” Later, he also tweets: “Baz Luhrmann just informs me about Cannes... there is excitement all around... Cannes “breaks” tradition with The Great Gatsby

The Cannes Film Festival, whose 66th edition will unroll on May 15, has reportedly gone against tradition in choosing Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby as the opening night movie.

The film will hit North American theatres on May 10, five days before the start of Cannes. The Festival has – at least for the past 10 years – reserved the opening slot for a movie that has not been screened elsewhere. STORY
