of actor Malaika Arora Khan and filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan (inset) are back in the song, Anarkali Disco Chali, for filmmaker Sajid Khan’s film, Housefull 2. While Farah is under extreme pressure for doing it differently, as comparisons will be drawn with Munni, Malaika on the other hand is sure that the song will be a success.

Malaika's last item number Munni was definitely a chart topper

“Munni is iconic, so I wouldn’t like to draw any comparisons and would request others to do the same. But, at the same time, Anarkali Disco Chali is Kick A**. Anarkali is more sexy and modern in her look and feel, while Munni was desi and rustic,” says Malaika, who has already shot for the song.

Talking about the USP of the song, she says, “Sajid-Wajid have given excellent music and Farah has choreographed it really well. It has the entire male star cast of the film in it.” Housefull 2 stars 12 actors — Akshay Kumar, Shreyas Talpade, John Abraham, Riteish Deshmukh, Mithun Chakraborty, Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Boman Irani, Zarine Khan, Asin Thottumkal, Shazahn Padamsee and Jacqueline Fernandez.

Director Sajid Khan too is happy about Malaika doing the item number and has praised Farah for doing a great job with it. He agrees that comparisons with Malaika’s hit number Munni are bound to happen, but says, “Malaika and Farah have worked really hard on this song to make it a success.”

Farah is also happy with the end result. “I think Malaika and I have a good track record. We have done three songs together, and all of them have been very successful, so there was a lot of pressure this time around too. I hope that this song also turns out to be a huge hit like our previous numbers — Chaiya Chaiya, Kaal Dhamaal and Munni,” said Farah at a promotional event for Housefull 2, which is slated to release on April 5.
