Actor Angad Bedi, who is gearing for Salman Khan starrer Tiger Zinda Hai, shares his most special moment at the time when his film Pink released in December last year.

Angad Bedi, who made his debut with Remo D’Souza’s directorial debut F.A.L.T.U. (2011), instantly shot to fame with his critically acclaimed film Pink (2016), which also starred actors Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu. According to the actor, the film was not only a turning point in his career, it even changed his life.

Actor Angad Bedi says that his Pink co-star Amitabh Bachchan taught him discipline and humility.

After the success of Pink, Angad’s image in the industry underwent a drastic change. “Apart from the powerful roles that I am being offered, producers are now willing to back me. I have even got a role in actor Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai,” adds the 34-year-old actor.

Unlike many Bollywood actors — who aspire for awards and validate their performances with them — Angad doesn’t really bother much about those things. The biggest honour was given to him by his Pink co-star Bachchan, when he flew down to Delhi to watch the film with his father. For him, money and awards are nothing, when compared with this gesture of the legendary actor. “My father (former Indian cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi) loved my performance in the film. Amitabh sir specially flew down to watch the film with him, which was perhaps the biggest moment. And my father’s appreciation means everything to me,” says Angad, who has nothing but praise for Big B for teaching him many things. “From Amitabh sir, the biggest thing I got to learn was discipline and humility,” he adds.

Angad will next be seen in the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial Tiger Zinda Hai. Excited to have bagged this opportunity, the actor says, “My fans will be seeing me in a role, which will be nothing like Rajvir Singh from Pink. While it’s too early to talk about it, I have been rehearsing for the tough action sequences. And of course, I am getting to work with Salman bhai. He is like an elder brother, who cares for you like not many can.”

Angad is currently seen in the web-series Inside Edge, alongside actor Richa Chadha, which is based on the murky world of a popular Indian cricket tournament.
