Salman Khan might have given his Eid release, Bodyguard, a miss since he’s in the US to get his nerve disorder treated, but the whole of the fraternity seems to be ready to help his film in his absence.
While Hrithik Roshan put behind past differences with the actor and attended the special screening that Sallu had organised for him and Aamir Khan, self-confessed Sallu fan Imran Khan has also stepped in to promote the Atul Agnihotri production on Salman’s behalf.
“Imran is making sure that all his friends accompany him for the movie, and his near and dear ones too spread good word about it. He has changed his status on his Blackberry to – ‘please watch Bodyguard’. And, even though his own film (Mere Brother Ki Dulhan ) is nearing release, he has constantly been speaking about Bodyguard in his interviews,” says a source close to Imran.
The actor, on his part, plays it down. “Salmanbhai has been very supportive. He has always come for my trial screenings and given me tips. He is very close to Aamir mamu (uncle) too. His entire family has been good to me, and I will do whatever I can for his film.”
Actor Sanjay Dutt says that he saw Salman battle with pain while they two shot together for promos of Bigg Boss, the reality TV show that they are co-hosting this season, adding that he instructed Sallu to get it treated at the earliest. Salman’s Bodyguard co-star Kareena Kapoor is also doing all she can to promote the film, and hopes that he will get well soon.
Salman was to leave earlier: bebo
Salman Khan’s Bodyguard co-star, Kareena Kapoor, feels Sallu should’ve left long ago. “Salman should have left for the US earlier because he was in excruciating pain and he was supposed to leave by the 20th of this month. But he wanted to promote the film and then leave,” she said at an event where she honoured bodyguards of Amitabh, Aamir, Hrithik, Saif and Akshay Kumar.
