Seems like director Arbaaz Khan won't settle for anything less than best for the next edition of Dabangg. That's probably why he has delayed the sequel to buy himself more time to ideate the project better.
Arbaaz told Mid Day, "I need time. The project is at the ideating stage. We need to crack an idea for the sequel and then carry the project forward from there. I don't want to take any chances. So we've called off the shooting of Dabangg 2 that was scheduled to start in December 2011 and will start shooting only in March 2012."
Arbaaz cites some solid reasons to postpone the film. "The period between November and February is full of festivals. Besides, there is Salman's birthday in December. All this means several breaks, which will hamper the creative process."
"We'll start when we're ready. I have taken Salman's dates in March. By then we'll have everything in place," he adds.
Arbaaz, who is turning director with the film, has reportedly asked five music composers to compose an item song each, one of which will be chosen for the film.
