The buzz around Emraan Hashmi’s upcoming film Azhar, a biopic on former Indian cricket captain Mohammed Azharuddin, is getting stronger and the makers have released a new song to sustain the momentum.

A reprised version of ‘90s hit song ‘Oye, Oye’ from Tridev has hit YouTube which features all three of Azhar’s lead actors -- Hashmi, Prachi Desai and Nargis Fakhri.

Watch it here:

It shows Nargis Fakhri performing on stage while Hashmi and Desai sitting in the audience. Hashmi looks tense as if he knows Fakhri outside the hall as well.

In real life, Mohammed Azharuddin married film actor Sangeeta Bijlani (played by Nargis) after divorcing his first wife Naureen (played by Prachi).

Azharuddin led the Indian cricket team for most of the 1990s. He was implicated in a match-fixing scandal in 2000, and banned for life. But later in 2012, the Andhra Pradesh High Court lifted the ban.

Directed by Tony D’Souza, Azhar is set to hit the screens on May 13.
