If the box office collection of Varun Dhawan's film Badlapur is any measure of his marketability, the idea to cast him in an uncharacteristically gritty role seems to be a masterstroke. The film maintained its momentum at the ticket windows even on the third day of its release, netting a total of Rs. 24 crore in three days. On Monday, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about Badlapur’s good show at the ticket window.
