Kareena Kapoor is at it again. Clearly, she has mastered the art of mouthing cuss words.

And the Kapoor girl has done an encore in her upcoming biggie, RA.One. In a particular sequence, she will be seen delivering gaalis (abusive language) and foul words in a funny way.

But not many know that it was RA.One producer-actor, Shah Rukh Khan who came up with the idea. “Shah Rukh wanted to feature a female character doing a thesis on gaalis. He wanted her to research why all the abuses are about mothers or sisters and not male-centric,” informs Kareena, adding that Khan was keen that it should be a women-centric thing.

Kareena, on her part, is known to have made full use of foul language in her film roles. It all started with Chameli (2004), where she had to play the role of a prostitute. Then, the Kapoor girl’s big hit, Jab We Met (2007), had a popular scene where she uttered Teri Maa Ki... while abusing her ex-boyfriend. Of course, it got Kareena loads of applause and public attention.

Later, the actor again proved her skill in using slang words in Golmaal 3 (2010). But Kareena defends it saying her character in Rohit Shetty’s film was a firebrand, and very tomboyish. “But RA.One has me in an irritable housewife’s role. My character, Sonia, is always on her toes. In the film, she is basically researching on gaalis and writing a book on how every bad word starts with Maa Ki… and Behen Ki… and not the guys. Why can’t we have male-centric gaalis? So, she mouths the abuses,” she informs.

While audiences love Kareena’s ‘abusive’ avatar, she is also equally cool with it. “I am very comfortable. It’s just a character, and I am not really abusing,” she says with a smile, adding, “It’s more about similar sounds (with gaalis) than real abuses. It’s surely scary when you hear it, but when you see it, it’s a lot of fun.” Kareena’s character in the film is called Sonia Subramaniam. Interestingly, it’s the first time she will be seen playing a mother on screen.

Kareena’s ‘abusive’ journey
* Chameli: In Sudhir Mishra’s film, cigarette-smoking Kareena played a crass prostitute, mouthing cuss words in a brash and rough manner.
* Jab We Met: The Kapoor girl’s big hit, Jab We Met, had a popular scene where she uttered several profanities while abusing her ex-boyfriend.
* Golmaal 3: Playing a tomboyish character, Kareena used tapori language including mouthing the full gaali, ‘Thodi der mein maa ki aankh hone wali hai.’
* RA.One: Kareena will be seen mouthing abuses in their rephrased avatars. She also questions why all the abuses revolve around mothers or sisters and not men.
