The first poster for Sanjay Dutt’s comeback film, Bhoomi, directed by Omung Kumar, has been released - and the image is stark.

It is a story of redemption, both reel and real. Sanjay Dutt’s Bhoomi, touted as his comeback vehicle after the jail term, launched its first poster on Monday on Twitter, and the image is stark. Captured in black and white, the poster shows Sanjay’s face as he is left with a bloodied chin. The film stars Aditi Rao Hydari as Sanjay’s daughter but that is one aspect of the film we don’t get to see in the poster.

Bhoomi, which was supposed to release on August 4, 2017 was shifted to September 22, 2017.

Bhoomi, which was supposed to release on August 4, 2017 was shifted to September 22, 2017 to avoid a clash with Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar. Producer Sandeep Singh told India Today about the shift, “Sanjay insisted that he did not want his comeback film to clash with anyone else. He believes that given the kind of hard work that goes into making a film, it can’t boil down to unhealthy competition at the box office,” he said.
