Nikhil Dwivedi had everyone impressed with his portrayal of Ramesh, a typical waster who throngs the streets of Mumbai looking to make a quick buck in his last film Shor — In the City.

However very few know that Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan was the one who inspired Nikhil to become an actor. And that’s not all; the veteran star even influenced his performance as a Mumbai gangster in his latest film. Says a source, "Nikhil is a huge Amitabh Bachchan fan and was inspired by him to be an actor. While preparing for his role in Shor — In the City, he studied Amitabh Bachchan’s films closely."

Says Nikhil Dwivedi, “I’m an actor today because of him (Bachchan). I’ve grown up watching his films. Playing the role of the angry young man and using the

lingo was fun.”
