Bollywood stars are taking their roles very seriously these days. So much so, that even when there are stylists on board to dress them up in their respective films, the stars at times feel like using their own clothes and products.
Recently, we were informed that actor Vidya Balan used her personal bed sheets and paintings from her collection in her next, Ghanchakkar, to give her reel house a homely, personal vibe. Similarly, there have been other actors who’ve used their own clothes and other personal belongings in movies. We list a few of them.
In his upcoming film, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again, Imran Khan has used a few of his own clothes for his role. A source says, “Since Imran plays the role of a Muslim man, he will be seen wearing his own Pathani suit in the movie.”
The legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan, has himself admitted that he has worn his own clothes in most of the late filmmaker Yash Chopra’s projects that he was a part of. In fact, the actor even said that at that time, he didn’t think that he was very stylish, but nevertheless was grateful for all the love showered upon him.
Actor Arjun Kapoor, who plays the role of a corporate in his next, Aurangzeb, has used some of his personal belongings in the film. A source says, “Arjun is fond of glares and watches, and has quite a collection. In Aurangzeb, he has used them to make his character look more realistic. As he will mostly be seen wearing suits in the movie, he thought using his own stuff would be apt.”
While playing the role of a bodyguard in his 2011 hit film, Bodyguard, Salman Khan, apparently, had done some research for his character with the help of his own personal guard. A source says, “He was sporting his own bodyguard’s clothes and uniform to look the part.”
In Akshay Kumar’s recent film, Special 26, which was one of the most unexpected hits of the year, the actor was seeing wearing his own clothes for a dance sequence. A source says, “He wore his own kurta-pyjama for a Punjabi dance number in the film, which went very well with the theme of the song.”
