Aditya Chopra cancelled the shoot of one of his productions (Bank Chor), starring Vivek Oberoi and Riteish Deshmukh, so that the cast and crew could vote in the Maharashtra assembly elections on October 15.

"It was a last-minute decision by the makers as most of the crew hail from Maharashtra. Also, the rescheduling wouldn’t have harmed the film," says an insider from the production house.

Vivek, who reunites with the production house 12 years after Saathiya (2002), confirms the development. He says, "Yes, the shooting of the film was cancelled so that all of us could go and vote."

Even Tusshar Kapoor postponed one of his shoots so that he doesn’t miss out on voting.
