It’s charity season in Bollywood, with actors giving away fat wads for causes close to their hearts. Anil Kapoor has just fulfiled his wish of donating his entire Slumdog Millionaire (2009) fee, Rs 4.3 crore to charity.

“I think I have never done enough. I would love to do more,” says Anil after donating to Plan India, an NGO that supports the cause of the girl child.

During Durga puja, Vidya Balan reportedly donated Rs 10 lakh to the Eastern India Cinetel Welfare Trust, that works towards welfare of Bengali technicians.  Other Bollywood stars doing charity of late include Sanjay Dutt who donated Rs 2.5 lakh for the treatment of a cancer stricken child, Vidhu Vinod Chopra who donated Rs 1 crore to Real Heroes, Farhan Akhtar who gave R15 lakh for rural empowerment.
