Actors Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan today mourned the death of Bengal batsman Ankit Keshri due to cardiac arrest following an on-field injury. The 20-year-old player sustained injuries during the Cricket Association of Bengal's Senior one-day knock-out match on April 17 where he collided with another player.
Keshri was in hospital for the past three days and was showing signs of recovery till yesterday evening. However, in the early hours of this morning, he suffered a massive cardiac arrest and was put on ventilator before he was declared dead.
Condoling his sudden passing away in the freak accident, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh said, "Too young to go... extremely unfortunate & sad. Condolences & prayers for Ankit Keshri & his family. May Allah bless his soul. RIP."
Actor Riteish Deshmukh tweeted,"Condolences & strength to the family-most Unfortunate."
"Saddened by d tragic death of such young sportsman. Ankit Keshri. My deepest condolences 2his family. Life is unpredictable. life is now (sic)," wrote Hrithik.
