Bollywood shone at the 60th National Awards in the Capital on Friday evening. Kahaani, Vicky Donor, Paan Singh Tomar, OMG: Oh My God! and Dekh Indian Circus were awarded by President Pranab Mukherjee at the function held at Vigyan Bhawan.
Actor-producer John Abraham wore a black bandhgala to the event, where he received the award for his production Vicky Donor, that won the Best Popular Film providing wholesome entertainment. Actors Annu Kapoor and Dolly Ahluwalia got the awards for Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress respectively, for the same film.
Actor Irrfan received the Best Actor award for Paan Singh Tomar, that also won the Best Feature Film award. He shared the honour with Vikram Gokhale for Marathi film, Anumati.
The ceremony was attended by other Bollywood winners as well such as Paan Singh Tomar director Tigmanshu Dhulia and Parineeti Chopra, who got a special mention for her performance in Ishaqzaade. Veteran actor Pran was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke award, but neither the 93-year-old actor, nor anyone from his family came to receive the award.
