One of the Vodaphone pugs (there are several in the popular series of commercials) will make a Bollywood debut in Ekta Kapoor’s madcap sequel, Kya Super Kool Hain Hum (2012). "Actually, there are two pugs who have character roles in the film," says director Sachin Yardi. "One of them belongs to an eccentric billionaire played by Anupam Kher, who believes it’s a reincarnation of his mother, and the other to Riteish (Deshmukh) who goes around everywhere with the pup strapped to a baby sack."

Riteish’s pug has a high sex drive and the actor, who plays a DJ on a professional low in the film, uses his pet to make money for him. He takes him to the vet’s clinic frequently to mate with female pugs and lives off him.

"It’s a bizarre track and ends up with the dog causing trouble for him," says Sachin, adding that though the pug was well trained, Ritesh often went around with dog food in his hand to cajole the pup into coming closer and doing what was required.

"Besides these two, there’s another scene in the film set in the clinic where there are five other proud owners waiting with pugs on their laps."

Besides pups, the film is also believed to have a high bikini quotient. A recent picture shows a woman in a stringy two-piece, her back daringly exposed. "I’ve been shooting in Mumbai and have seen the bikini babes only on the posters so far," says Sachin. "But there is a scene where the boys are on a road trip to Goa and have a wacky encounter with a bunch of Kingfisher Calendar-like girls that ends up in a song. That should be fun!"
