Buzzy weekend for Bollywood
While Saturday night in Mumbai was all about thumkas, jhumkas and top brass Bollywood acts at the 18th Colors Screen Awards, the six-km-long Dream Run event of the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon on Sunday saw over 22,000 participants, including many Bollywood celebrities and television actors.
B-Town celebrities had a eventful weekend.
At Screen Awards
Saturday night in Mumbai was all about thumkas, jhumkas and top brass Bollywood acts at the 18th Colors Screen Awards. While Vidya Balan took away the Best Actress trophy for her performance in The Dirty Picture, the film’s maker Milan Luthria won the Best Director award. Ranbir Kapoor won the best actor award for his role in Rockstar, and Saif Ali Khan bagged the best supporting actor award for his Dalit act in Aarakshan. It was however, emcee Shah Rukh Khan’s jigs with Madhuri, Vidya and Katrina that took the cake.
At Mumbai Marathon
The six-km-long Dream Run event of the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2012 on Sunday saw over 22,000 participants, including many Bollywood celebrities and television actors. Those seen on the run were actors Ranbir Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Ronit Roy, John Abraham, Gul Panag, Neha Dhupia, Shabana Azmi, Perizaad Zorabian and Raveena Tandon.
