With all eyes set on her red carpet debut at the 68th Cannes International Film Festival, Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif did not disappoint her legion of fans.
The actor arrived for the opening ceremony and the screening of the film La Tete Haute (Standing Tall) in a stunning black off-shoulder Oscar de la Renta gown.
This is Katrina's debut at the film festival and she completed her look with luminescent makeup and side-swept auburn hair.
The actor posed for pictures on the red carpet and also took a selfie with Oscar-winner Julianne Moore.
The two walked the red carpet on Wednesday night, and they spoke there for approximately five to seven minutes. "They spoke about the number of films that Katrina has done and how she learned Hindi for Bollywood. Not only this, they also complimented each other on the dress and makeup that they donned for the red carpet," said a source.
Katrina, who is currently busy shooting for Fitoor and Jagga Jasoos, will be shooting with Moore for L'Oréal Paris on Thursday and spoke about how they were looking forward to it.
Moore, who won the Best Actress Award at the Cannes International Film Festival 2014 but was unable to receive it last year, was presented with the honour at the ongoing edition's Mini-Palme.
Earlier in the day on Wednesday, she chose to don a black and white ensemble before the big event.
The Bang Bang! star, who left for the film gala on Monday, was also seen talking to media about her first time at the film festival.
Katrina, who had earlier emphasised that she wants to enjoy the film fest without fretting over her looks, picked up a white crop top and skirt from MILLY creation with shoes by Manolo Blahnik and jewellery by Maria Francesca Pepe, read a statement.
The 31-year-old completed her look with sleek auburn hair with nude lips.
Katrina, who is attending the film fest as a L'Oreal Paris brand ambassador, also took to Twitter to share a glimpse of her journey.
Her fellow L'Oréal Paris brand ambassador Sonam Kapoor will grace the red carpet of the prestigious festival on Saturday and May 18.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who has been a L'Oréal Paris ambassador for more than a decade, will walk on the red carpet on May 17 and 20. The actress will complete 14 years at Cannes with L'Oréal Paris.
