The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has issued notices to makers of

Bandit Queen

,

Gangajal

,

Omkara

and

Peepli Live

over the alleged use of unparliamentary language in the films.

The notices were issued on the petition filed by a local lawyer, Ashok Pandey, who sought cancellation of censor certificates to these films.

Pandey also pleaded with the Court to direct the government to displace all the members of the Censor Board for allegedly violating the Cinematography Act.
