A complaint has been filed against actor Ajay Devgn in connection with the poster of his upcoming movie Shivaay for allegedly hurting Hindu sentiments.
The complaint was filed in Delhi’s Tilak Nagar police station.
The poster of the movie, the complaint adds, shows Devgn climbing Lord Shiva’s figure with shoes on, which hurts the sentiments of people.
Most of the pictures and posters hint at Shiva, the Hindu God. The new poster of the movie was released on May 22 and it depicts Ajay holding a ‘trishul’ (Lord Shiva’s weapon) made of ice.
Sharing a new poster, Ajay Devgn wrote, “”This Diwali, Shivaay will Transform, Protect & Destroy.

Shivaay, which marks the Bollywood debut of Dilip Kumar’s grandniece Sayesha Saigal, is a high-octane action-drama. Abigail Eames, Erika Kaar, Ali Kazmi and Jabbz Farooqi also feature in the movie, slated to hit the theaters on October 28, 2016.
Devgn had earlier directed U Me Aur Hum (2008 ). The film is likely to clash with Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil at the box office.
