William Nicholas Gomes, a visiting fellow at Centre for Applied Human Rights in University of York, UK, has appealed to the makers of Dabangg 2 to remove the sequence where Salman Khan’s character, Chulbul Pandey, glorifies the practice of torture by police forces. “This will raise wider public support in favour of torture and ill treatment in the custody,” he said.

Producer Arbaaz Khan remained unavailable for comment at the time of going to press.
