Actor Bipasha Basu is the latest to join a list of Bollywood actors whose names have featured in songs or have songs dedicated to them.
A song in the forthcoming film, Jodi Breakers, has been named after its leading lady, Bipasha Basu. Excited about the same, the 33-year-old, whose name means ‘deep, dark desire’ was quoted as saying, “I have a song now... I love it... The song does justice not just to my name, but also to my on-screen image of being sexy and exotic perfectly.”

Actor Kareena Kapoor, also known by her nickname Bebo, had a song titled ‘Bebo’ in her film, Kambakkht Ishq (2009). “It is my favourite song in the movie as my name is associated with it. Also it’s fun to dance on that song in tours and on stage,” she was quoted as saying.

US-based hip hop duo, Blue Scholars, dedicated a song to actor Rani Mukerji in their 2011 album, Cinematropolis. The song was titled ‘Rani Mukerji’. “Rani appears to be an intelligent woman... She does a good job balancing her projected image with dignity,” DJ Sabzi, one half of the band, was quoted as saying,

UK-based singer Arjun was so smitten by actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s eyes that he wrote a song specially for them. Titled, ‘Aishwarya’s Eyes’, the song describes at length, Ash’s eyes and how much Arjun has fallen in love with them.

A song in the film Kunwara (2000), featuring Govinda, was dedicated to actor Urmila Matondkar. “I fell in love with this song. It is so cool to have a song about you,” the 37-year-old was quoted as saying.
