After calling Deepika Padukone “unethical” and “unprofessional” filmmaker Ramesh Taurani has softened his stand towards the actor, who left his film, Race 2, midway citing dates issues.
Recently, the two had a heated war of words in the media. Taurani complained about Deepika to Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) and post the first hearing, the matter seems to have fallen on the right track. Though sources close to the two have confirmed that Deepika has agreed to do the film, Taurani is only hinting about it.
“I don’t understand where all these stories regarding various demands are coming from. There’s no fight the way it’s being told in the media. The negative articles talking about a war between the two parties are completely false. The only issue is dates, which Deepika and I are trying to solve,” said Taurani.
Last week, Taurani was furious at Deepika, and he told HT City, “I’ve registered a complaint against Deepika and I’ll make sure that justice is done. Strict action should be taken against her for being so unprofessional and unethical so that no one repeats such an act.”
Deepika has Ayan Mukherji’s film with Ranbir Kapoor in March, and Rajinikanth’s Rana, which got delayed due to Rajini’s health problem. She also another film, Kochadaiyaan, with Rajini coming up.
“Deepika has to do a lot of shuffling with her dates to accommodate Race 2 and she is working it out before making a formal announcement that she is back in Race 2,” says a source.
